For chef Saran Jittiboonruan, born in Bangkok, the tuk tuk was a symbol close to his heart when opening the first modern Saigon bistro to offer inventive Thai cuisine. It is a subtle evocation for his guests as they embark on a road of flavours that remains to be explored. From discovery to discovery, the menu offers lunch and dinner stops featuring the house specialties.
Soups, salads, and even the most traditional Thai dishes are always inflected by East/West influences, a fusion that has made the reputation of this inventive table. Dishes such as fried chicken wings with lemongrass, honey-marinated grilled pork served with a tamarind “northeast” sauce, or vegetarian Thai curry delight the senses. The cuisine, which has a contemporary twist, is highly colourful in this black-and-white atmosphere, present from the ground floor to the rooftop terrace, which itself is another great discovery.
