Experimental Cocktail Club Chinatown

Set up in the heart of Chinatown by designer Dorothée Meilichzon, the Experimental Cocktail Club immerses you in the atmosphere of a New York speakeasy – those clandestine bars that flourished during the Prohibition era. Conceived over three floors, the bar is open until 3 a.m., giving you plenty of time to enjoy the London night and one of the fourteen cocktails available on the menu, among them nine creations and five other specialities created by the best bartenders in the world. As it is a major meeting place of trendy Londoners and real connoisseurs, we recommend you to book in advance.

The Blues Kitchen, for a memorable evening

In touristy Camden, here's a bar where you'll assuredly have a great night. The warm decoration reminiscent of a traditional pub (complete with wooden tables, leather sofas and sculpted ceilings) will draw you in for a drink. The Blues Kitchen is open all day for copious lunch and dinner; but it is primarily at the end of the day that you have to go. New musicians perform every night as you sip on that whisky or bespoke cocktail. Try out the Alehouse Rock, bourbon-based with added grapefruit, lemon, ginger and Angostura Bitters, topped with pale ale.

Gordon's Wine Bar, London's oldest wine bar

Are you looking to indulge in a good old glass of wine by the end of the day? Then head to Gordon's Wine Bar, a true institution in London as it happens to be the oldest wine bar of the British capital. Inside, nothing seems to have changed since 1890: the vaulted stonewall cellar creates an intimate atmosphere in the basement, whereas wooden walls are covered with dozens of framed newspapers' front pages on first floor. The wine list offers selections from across the world – France, Italy, Chile, United States, South Africa, Australia, India and New Zealand for instance. They go well together with an assortment of cheeses.

Dandelyan, for uncommon cocktails

For his bar, Mr Lyan went for a choice location: the lobby of the Mondrian Hotel, on the bank of the Thames. As the decoration is signed by Tom Dixon, the harmony between green marble and pink leather bench seats is very elegant. Behind the bar, Ryan Chetiyawardana, aka Mr Lyan, is the sole master of the house. He was awarded best bartender in 2015 by the “Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards”. On the menu, innovative cocktails stand alongside reinvented classics. Let the Forty Coin Fizz surprise you with its Gin base (made by Mr Lyan himself), Gingko leaves and lemon. Very flavourful!
